Love - A Journey Through The Unknown

Echoing, like soft gentle whispers, in the stillness of solitude
The rhythm of two dancing hearts, poised in a timeless sway,
Weaving magic with rainbows, entrapping passing multitude,
A symphony in rising crescendo, in the breeze carried away.

Darkness turns a thousand shades, in the glow of a blush;
Dried petals still waft afresh the beloved's sweet smell;
Precious naked memories unashamed vie and madly rush
The heart in untold rapture, like sea in high tide, swell.

Flame of love kindled by the flying spark from a free heart
Blazing furnace; warm, cool and punishing in a mysterious act
Like the splash of first shower in parched summer start
Soothing earth's heart, one of nature's unfathomable pact.

Flooding and carrying away the careless and weakly rooted
Soundless cries of ecstasy and deep plaintive sobbing muted
Emotions only love unselfish can ever grasp and hold dear
To let go and empty oneself of self without restraint and fear.

Embarking on a journey through uncharted desolate expanse
Exquisite gifts laid bare with every step taken in suspense
Such is the mystery of love, when you like supple clay
Let your beloved like a potter mould you, your ego slay.

The anguish of love

Stillness belies the anguish that rocks your soul to sleep,
Destined to bear your agony alone, your eyes weep.
The radiant smile lighting up your face cannot cast away
Agony of your heart that you try to wash away in your tears.
The crushing bitterness of fleeting sorrow cannot to rest lay
Your resolve to reach the light that in the distance appears.

Your tears shall then sparkle, grateful for the life you gave
It was your love that held them so dear and then let go.
Pray take this lonely soul with you the rest of your way
The solace that eludes you; but alluring you to move on
That healing touch, together, we might find one day
Only to begin all over again, this journey you'll never finish
Every end is a new beginning, this journey that you make
The love you discover, the love you give and graciously take
You'll die a million deaths and be born again a million times

And then one day you'll decide that I too must die and be gone
I shall then gladly lay my life in your hands to do as you please
For dreams will cease to be when you wake up to the dawn
The dreams of your waking hours you'll keep, it'll never be me.
I'll return to my solitude happy 'cause I was once your "dreams"
